FOUL BALL!!!

OUTFIELD FLY BALLS

An outfield fly ball is judged to be fair or foul by the relationship of the ball to the foul line at the moment it first touches the ground, or where it first touches a fielder. If the ball touches a fielder in-flight, the judgment is made at where the ball was when it was touched, NOT from where it may land after a miss, or drop of the ball, by a fielder. The position of the fielder is irrelevant. You only focus on the ball and the foul line.

Accumulated News

Everyone gets nervous when one of us shows up with a shovel. Loren wonders who wanted his final resting place to be right next to first base. Or, was Tom acting on Jim's orders ("Why would you hit to third when there's a man on first and second").

Look at these faces! Has late season malaise set in? It's only early August. Or maybe they're watching Tom dealing with the last guy who struck out (see picture, above).

Diane tries out for Turtles and Snails and is accepted. Many accused Jim of bringing a ringer (c'mon, look at that uniform) but the truth is folks, we're all either turtles or snails and everyone is welcome!
